Chrysalis

For eighteen years imprisoned by the bonds you've shaken free,
All the troubles that enslaved your heart are only memory,
But the walls you built to hide you still are holding you inside,
And you hesitate to step into the world you've opened wide,

When all the words are spoken and it's time
for you to dry your eyes, you cry.

Look around you at the sunlight and the wild free winds and go,
Through the open skies and follow where the fearless breezes blow,
The only thing that holds you back is fear that you will fall,
Leave that muddy past behind you as you climb above it all,

The Chrysalis is broken and it's time
for you to dry your wings and fly.
